The greatest cycling event in this world, the 2010 Tour de France is a tribute to the Pyrenees, first introduced to the Tour 100 years ago. There's the exciting line up of Pyrenean favorites (Peyresourde, Aspin and Col du Tourmalet twice!!) and a few of the more 'modern' climbs including the Port de Bales (the backside finally paved in 2007).
You will ride and watch the Tour drama unfold on our guided and fully-supported trip starting atop Port de Bales and finishing at the 51 km ITT in beautiful Bordeaux.
THE RIDE STRONG STYLE. The tour is designed with an obsessive tendency towards the most well-designed routes, multiple nights in one-of-a-kind hotels, authentic cuisine and, yes, loads of riding. We'll operate our tour similar to our signature tours with knowledgeable local guides, cycling roughly 80-110 km/day, eating well and sleeping even better! This is a guided, supported and well-designed trip, however, we can't push your pedals. To enjoy this tour you must be a fit cyclist capable of riding the daily distances on mountainous terrain.

Thanks for a great Tour. It was truly an experience of a lifetime. I felt you were very knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour, the routes, and our accommodations. I loved each place we stayed at - they were charming and unique. And the food! I managed to gain weight even though I rode my butt off.

I will never forget cycling up Col de Peyresourde and reaching the summit just in time for sunset and the beautiful ride down to our mountain lodge. I'm in love with cycling in France. I really appreciated everything you did for me. You thought of every detail. Thanks!

I'll take this opportunity to thank you again for a fantastic tour of France and "The Tour." The most fun for me was riding the Cols ahead of the Tour riders, then sitting down with a Desperado to watch those amazing athletes cover the same route at at least three times my speed. I also enjoyed the whole carnival atmosphere surrounding the course: asking for and receiving generous squirts and splashes of cooling water, hearing the various loud speaker serenades, receiving the cheers (undeserved I aver) of these spectators as we panted and puffed by them and, lastly, falling in love twice with two gorgeous Irish gals, one walking, one cycling.
